Mission and Vision Message from the Coalition Leaders

The mission of the Northwest Indiana Patient Safety Coalition is to foster a culture of patient safety by providing a collaborative healthcare forum for organizations, community leaders and educational institutions through the use of evidence-based practices – focusing on cost efficient, continuous improvements and the reduction of medical errors. It's vision is to make Northwest Indiana healthcare among the safest in the nation.

"It is extremely rewarding, as chairperson, to observe the intenseness of the activity of the Patient Safety Coalition and the wonderful attitude of co-operativeness among the representatives from all the hospitals in Northwest Indiana. The work of these representatives will have a significant impact on patient safety and quality in Northwest Indiana."
